Fiona Hill

Fiona worked in Local Government for 17 years where in many varied roles she gained wide-ranging experience in shaping, delivering and improving services. For the initial 11 years, whilst working in Housing Management services, she contributed to all aspects of the service including managing an area office, research and development work, including for five years managing a team that was responsible for resource management. At Local Government reorganisation Fiona moved to the corporate centre of the organisation and led the development, co-ordination and implementation of the Council’s response to Best Value, including performance management, service reviews, contract management and co-ordinated audits of management arrangements. Fiona was seconded for two years to lead the Council’s PFI team during the construction phase of 5 schools, a £68m project. In these roles Fiona contributed the corporate management of the Council by regularly briefing Senior Elected Members and participating in the Corporate Management Team.

In July 2002, Fiona left Local Government to become a Director of CFM Consulting Limited, a bespoke consultancy specialising in coaching, personal learning and corporate development. Fiona’s role in CFM is working with the Quality Assurance aspects of our accredited programmes, all aspects of Finance and Project Management whilst assisting in the development of new clients and programmes

Fiona has been an External Verifier for the Institute of Leadership & Management since October 2002. She is qualified to verify the following programmes: Introductory Certificate in Management, Introductory Team Leader Award, and Team Leader Award.
