michele armstrongEducated to degree level in Community Education, Michele has worked in public and voluntary sector organisations as a community worker, trainer, lecturer and youth worker since 1990. Building on this experience, Michele later trained as a trainer and SQA assessor.

In 2001, Michele set out to create a considerable life change and trained as a Life and Business Coach with Results Coaching Systems before being appointed as their Regional Coordinator for Scotland in 2002. Michele also completed the Results Coach Training programme and earned the role as Lead Trainer. Building on this she eventually developed her own model of coaching and a training programme that has been running in Scotland since 2003 – earning Association for Coaching (AC) recognition and Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) accreditation along the way. Michele set up Acorn Principle Plus (APP) Ltd with a partner in 2006 to offer a wide range of coach training programmes throughout Scotland.

Having a strong commitment to the promotion of coaching ethics and standards throughout Scotland, Michele was appointed Head of the Association for Coaching Scotland in 2004 and worked towards establishing a strong team to take on that mission. Once the team was established Michele joined the AC Accreditation & Assessment Team and continues to support and expand this work.

Michele continues to work as a Community Education Worker for a local authority on a part time basis, co-runs APP Ltd, contributes her time to the development of a new charity: Youth Coach Scotland and works as a Life & Business Coach both with private individuals and as a Resident Coach for the Buccleuch Group in Scotland.
