Associate Coaches Needed - Build A Highly Successful Career As A Business Coach.

Nationally coaching of SME businesses is expanding, says Richard Bisiker, Director of Personal Summits Ltd. The company has licensed its business development programme and has 6 new associates endorsed with ILM this month. But they are still looking for more coaches that want to deliver their programme. Our climate is changing and owner/managers know they have to be creative – the old habits are not guaranteed to work in this ‘New World’. Training alone is now like travelling in economy class. Now more than ever business coaching is seen as upgrading to First Class. Richard is offering FREETELECONFERENCE/ WEBINAR INFO CALLS to show coaches how to succeed in profitable business to business coaching.
View From The Hill

Last month, we facilitated a CPD session at the newly refurbished Stirling Management Centre. Despite the snowy conditions, coaches from a range of organisations braved the weather to attend the event, generously hosted by the Management Centre. We focused on the importance of CPD for professional coaches & mentors and explored ways to keep up your development hours and increase your breadth of knowledge. When we went through the range of reading material that we have used over the last year or so, the amount of note taking was impressive!! Meanwhile over in Belfast we facilitated an awareness session, hosted by Gem in their offices. An impressive 47 people turned up to get an insight into coaching in the workplace. The range of delegates stemmed from those just starting out to those well established and with professional qualifications.
These events are great learning and networking opportunities so if you are interested in future events drop Lorna a line with some ideas of topics. A big thanks to all involved in both events. Their hard work was appreciated by us all.
Have a good month

Notes for Coaches, Mentoring
by Peter Hill
Peter Hill’s “Mentoring” is a clear, concise, well laid out reference guide with good definitions of mentoring and coaching outlining the differences, similarities and overlaps. It is a very practical book for both mentor and mentee. I recommend it to anyone learning for the first time or seeking a refresher on mentoring, what the role of a mentor is, the skills of a mentor, how to manage the process as well as some case study examples of how some people use a mentor.
